happy easter

One of my favorite things about Easter, besides refecting on the Atonement is a traditional Easter meal. I've posted some of my favorite recipes for this special day on my food blog (Sweet. Savory. Spicy. Saucy). You can click on the link to the right under "My Blogs". Enjoy!

snow bunny (and kind of a rediculous experience)

So I am vacationing with the family I nanny for in Colorado. Yesterday while the little tikes were in ski school I had a few hours off and decided to get some hiking in for a short work out. I ended up on a little trail and things were going well until WHOOSH, I took a step and went down about five feet. If you have ever been stuck in this position with one leg up and the other down and nothing to grab on to pull yourself out you know what I was thinking as I was chest deep in snow..."um, I'm pooched". To make matters worse (well maybe in honor of Easter) there was a snow bunny just staring at me. Not helping, just staring and laughing in my face. It took me about twenty minutes to pull myself out sinking with each step. Finally, success! And don't worry...I was right at it again hiking this morning...will ski tomarrow! Happy Easter to those who celebrate!

sweet tooth

I had so much fun in Manhattan yesterday with my cousins Jess and Mel. It's so fun to be living out here on the east coast with them and that we get to hang out together. There's no other way I rather spend my day off. It's apparant that we all have a little bit of a sweet tooth and share the same sentiment for chocolate. So naturally, we went to Dylan's Candy Bar and Serendipities. My peanut butter frozen hot chocolate was absolutely worth the wait, as well as the Crumbs Cupcakes Melanie bought for Dave. New York City is delicious and this family has no problem partaking of it's goodness. Here's a little slide show of our fun day!
